HunterPrep holds an annual crash course to prepare students for the HCHS Entrance Exam. Our group courses are our most popular and historically successful test prep options. Current 5th or 6th graders are welcome to enroll, with preference given to 6th graders.
Who is the instructor?
Our head instructor is Alan Han, a top graduate of Hunter and current undergraduate at UPenn. Alan led HunterPrep’s group courses for the past three years and has had a stellar track record as a private tutor for HunterPrep. See course flier for more details.

What’s the difference between the Saturday and Sunday course?
Consecutive Saturday and Sunday sessions will administer the same exam and review the same content. Our Sunday course begins later to accommodate those who would like to begin prep later. You may consider supplementing the shorter Sunday course with our 4-day Crash Course from Dec 26-29. (You may pay a discounted rate of $1800 for both courses - please email info@hunterprep.org).
Can we join a course if it has already started?
Absolutely! We have new students joining every week. The course follows a distributed rather than topic-by-topic structure. Each class consists of a new practice exam and review session. This means even if your student joins a few weeks late, they will likely still see all relevant exam topics covered. Additionally, you may "make up" for a missed portion of the course during our 4-day Crash Course (Dec 26-29).
